The Long Insiders
Born in October 2007 in Oxford, The Long Insiders aim to make music for Spies visiting a David Lynch film set to see Polly Harvey and Nick Cave sing! Imagine a more f#cked-up Johnny Cash & June Carter.
-"The Long Insiders nod to the cavernous works of Nick Cave and Tom Waits and never-was 60s troubadours-- but rarely sound traditional or conversative, much like a Lynch film itself. Also like the most effective Lynchian exercises, "Tears" manages to convince despite its self-awareness. It's closing time at the bar on the edge of town, and the jukebox just dialed up the night's final selection. When it's over, you can practically feel the sticky vinyl upholstery against your skin and taste the cigarette ash at the back of your throat." Pitchfolk
-"With style in abundance, musicianship to die for and all those killer tunes, The Long Insiders will leave you shaken and stirred!" BBC Oxford.
